In Congress Workshops

Correlative Multiscale Multimodal Tomography for Materials Science

Date: Monday, September 10 2018
Time: 12:45 – 13:45
Where: Room C4.4, ICC Sydney
Registration: No pre-registration required (walk-in workshop).

Correlative Multiscale Multimodal Tomography (CM2T) is a workflow of spatial registration in two and three of many imaging modalities – light microscopy, electron/ion microscopy, X-Ray tomography, 2D/3D EBSD, EDS, Raman, etc. – that allows various types of information, and at different length scale, to be collected for the same region of interest. In this workshop we use CM2T workflow to investigate cracking in Blown Powder Laser Deposited (BPLD) IN718 coupons using a combination of electron microscopy solutions and a unique, software integrated instrumental environment using inter-linked software.
